Special Abilities Draft [Modifier]

Each match can now begin with a draft of Special Abilities that takes place over two phases.
In the 1st phase, each player can try to be the first to choose any of the Special Abilities brought into the match. In the 2nd phase, players that chose slowest in the 1st phase will go earliest, in order, until all players have two abilities chosen. Running out of time means you receive one at random.
A player can have two 2nd Special Abilities such as Stolen Agenda and Forged Will or even two 1st Special Abilities!
You can join us on Steam by following the directions at the bottom of this post. We expect this test will be live for a little over 24 hours. Both Lupin and Watson are automatically unlocked for all players during this test.

Lupin Special Abilities

Noble Accord

While hiding all Suspicion meters until Voting Phase, choose a secret target whose Suspicion is temporarily raised by 50% while all others, except your own, have their Suspicion lowered by 50%. These changes are reverted at the start of the next round.

Arbitration

Choose a secret target. If this target uses a Special Ability during his or her next two turns, you will be given the chance to redirect or cancel its effect. The user will still pay any personal costs associated with its usage even if the usage canceled.

Watson Special Abilities

Final Draft

Initiate a secret vote among all players. If supported by the majority, all Suspicion is cleared including for those that voted against. If not supported by a majority or a tie occurs, those that voted in favor will have their Suspicion increased substantially.

Cosign

For the next two rounds, you and a target will have access to one another's AP after either uses all of their own AP. The linked AP is usable for any purpose including Special Abilities and debates. (Should any player in the match receive an AP Limit penalty due to a Special Role Ability, this effect is nullified.)

If you would like to playtest these features, please do the following:

Right click on ESPIONAGE: Mafia Evolved in your Steam library
Left click on Properties
Choose Betas
To the right, in the Beta Participation section, change the dropdown option from None to cutting-edge - Cutting Edge. You may now close the window.
The game should automatically update from this point and be labeled as ESPIONAGE: Mafia Evolved [cutting-edge] in your library.
If the game does not automatically update, close Steam and then re-open it. You may also use the Verify Integrity of Game Files option within Steam to force this. If bandwidth is not a concern, you can uninstall and reinstall the game client as well.
Between testing periods, the Cutting Edge client will be automatically reverted to the Retail/Default version of the game. For this reason, you do not need to switch back and forth to play with those across versions.
